From around the Parish and the Diocese

The Continuing Anglican Church is becoming unified!
In November of 2025, we will see the second step in the re-unification of the Continuing Anglican Churches in America as the Anglican Church in America (ACA) merges with the Anglican Catholic Church (ACC). In 2021, the Diocese of the Holy Cross merged with the ACC. With the impending move, what was once the "G-4" will become the "G-2" as the ACC and the Anglican Province in America (APA) will be the only two remaining jurisdictions of the original groups which were the result of the developments following the Convocation of St. Louis. We are all hopeful that the mergers will allow us to celebrate our shared history, faith and dedication to the service of God.
In Picayune, there have been for a number of years two Anglican parishes - Holy Angels and St. Barnabas. With the merger, the two will become truly sister parishes in one denomination.

We are beautifying our parish at Holy Angels!
We recently planted a number of Crepe Myrtle trees at the parish to beautify our grounds. We are also engaged in a project to raise money to replace our carpet in the sanctuary.

Our Big News is that we have moved!
Holy Angels Anglican Catholic Church has moved to 1811 East Canal Street in Picayune. The move has given us much more room and more resources to serve our community.

Sunday, December 3, 2017 will mark the first Sunday in the Season of Advent for 2017. At Holy Angels, we will be blessed by our annual visit by the Rt. Reverend Terry A Lowe. This will be Bishop Lowe's first visit to our new home at 1811 East Canal Street in Picayune. We look forward to hosting the Bishop and his wife Kathleen. The altar is ready, as is our Advent Wreath.
